Now you can attach your reference emails on Gmail without even downloading.

As per the announcement made by Google this year Gmail users can attach reference emails in Gmail. Currently, users were only able to forward their reference mails to other groups.

This feature is initially rolling out only for G Suite users currently and will be available to all users soon.

There has been a situation where we have been sending multiple emails for the same subject so that the opposite group or person can relate what has been discussed or for taking further decisions.

With this new update, we can efficiently and systematically do our work. Sending emails as attachments allows you to write a summary of the emails and attach the set of supporting emails that recipients can directly open in their mail client, Said by Google.

How to attach your E-Mail

  1. When this feature arrives,

  2. We will notice a new option forward as an attachment in the three-dot menu.

  3. Click on that to send an email attachment.

  4. Now, go to the field, add recipients' email IDs. You also have the option to send attachments to people who're BCC or CC.

  5. Draft your email with the message and subject line.

  6. Click Send.

Note that the attached email is converted into a .eml file.

How the receiver will open the mail and reply.

  1. When users click on a .eml file, it opens in a new window.

  2. How you will reply : Open an email and click on “Reply.”

  3. Next, click on the pop-out icon which appears at the top right.

  4. Select the email you want to attach to your reply. Drag the mail into your message.

  5. Hit “Send.”

Gmail has already begun rolling out the feature to G Suite users and should be available in the next two weeks.
