A Couple of weeks before Facebook has revealed that they have created an in-house music library for budding content creators, Facebook has announced their partnership with Universal Music Group, Universal Group owns the souls of hundreds of popular performing musicians.
According to UMG, they will license their music for video and other social media experiences across Facebook, Instagram, and Oculus. Because of the inclusion of the Oculus these music's might also be available for VR game developers.
We all know UMG is one of the biggest record companies apart from Sony and Warner Bros. therefore it’s been heard Facebook has been trying to talk to Sony and Warner Bros as well.
Though it’s not clear that these music will be free for use or subscription-based, but if we are getting these song with a minimum amount of subscription, it’s not that bad.
As it might be the rumor that Facebook is trying to talk with Sony and Warner Bros still we can hope whatever the future is it will be good and might just change the perception of social media managers around the world.
